Planning & Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Committee works to ensure proper development within the city limits of Oronoco. This includes administering all planning and zoning ordinances, review development plans, and strategically planning future growth needs for the city. The Planning and Zoning Commission also includes the Oronoco Architectural Control Committee which reviews the construction of new commercial buildings to ensure they meet the aesthetic value necessary to enhance the community. These controls encourage the orderly and harmonious appearance of structures and properties; maintain the public health, safety and welfare; maintain property and improvement values throughout the City and encourage physical development of the City as intended by the General Plan. 

The committee meets the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM at the Community Center.
