Cross Country Skiiers can make use of Lake Shady, one of the city parks or the Douglas Trail. Many residents enjoy cross country skiing around their large lots just after a fresh snowfall. Downhill skiiers can enjoy their sport at Steeplechase Ski Area just north of Oronoco.
