Important Highway 52 Information: On Thursday, January 6th, after an extensive Highway 52 public meeting, the Oronoco City Council decided to approve MnDOT's Highway 52 Plan A. This plan will include the contruction of an overpass at the J.C.'s intersection along with the construction of a major intechange at the Highway 12/112 and Highway 52 intersection. Plan A does NOT include the construction of an important stretch of frontage road on the west side of Highway 52 extending from Tilly's Tavern south to Highway 12 west. This proposed frontage road will likely become a focal point of City Council meetings throughout 2005. MnDOT expects construction to commence during the winter of 2006. Feel free to stop by the community center to view a detailed drawing of MnDOT's approved Plan A. The plan will be hanging on the conference chamber wall. Stay tuned for further updates.
