Many people enjoyed Lake Shady in it's hay days. You could camp in a cottage, dance in the dance pavillion and go bowling at midnight. Lake Shady was a place for fun and excitement for the rich citizens of the area. The Mayo family had a cottage as well as the Kahler family.
